Washington National Cathedral is one of my favorite places in the city. This past May I was there with my friend Adam for the annual Flower Mart. We wandered around outside through the rows of vendors hawking food, flowers, and crafts, and eventually wandered in through the front doors. There we saw that a local humane society was set up with two cages of KITTENS. Adam and I petted the kittens through the holes of the cage until one of the volunteers let us hold one. It was a wonderful day.
